"I THINK YOU MAY BE SURPRISED when you listen to these speakers in good conditions, with a good ampli-fier and a rich signal source. Xavian Unica will deliver an expansive, powerful soundstage with full planes and layers, without any gaps between sounds. They will play music with full commitment. Because it is dense and low sound focused on the midrange.

And they play any music in this way, from any release. They show their strengths and weaknesses, but they do not destroy the illusion of transferring sounds to our world. These appear in the room as if it were disap-pearing from the equation, because the speakers are not “visible”. There is also no impression that the sound is coming from them. It is as if it were generated by the entire space between us and the speakers. It is not a point in space that spreads throughout our room, but a large, coherent plane.

Xavian play in a very elegant way, with a full band. That's why not only sophisticated jazz recordings, but also rock, such as my beloved album Electric by The Cult, produced by the same Rick Rubin who is responsible for the Red Hot Chili Peppers album Californication, as well as the electronic music from the maxi single Zero Gravity, sounded great."

"Konečně jsme dostali možnost otestovat reprosoustavy, které vznikají kousek od Prahy v manufaktuře Xavian. Její majitel Roberto Barletta se narodil v italském Turíně, ale v Česku žije už přes třicet let a jeho firma má za sebou na sedmdesát úspěšných produktů.

Nejnovějším přírůstkem je Xavian Unica, kompaktní regálové reprosoustavy vyrobené z masivního dubového dřeva. Unica má neotřelý vzhled a pro značku netypický zvuk. Ještě méně typická je ovšem cena, kterou by na první pohled nikdo nehádal."

"It is actually fascinating that in the Czech Republic it is possible to manufacture something like this from high-quality branded and custom-made components (definitely not some Chinese no-name parts). In a way, XAVIAN Unica is a spiritual successor to the very popular Perla and Perla Esclusiva, but it has a more modern design and, most importantly, a significantly lower price and yet higher quality. It seems that Roberto Barletta has decided that, as with the XN series in its quality range, it is necessary to offer "more for less." The Unica are beautifully crafted (no surprise with XAVIAN) and, at 25,000 CZK, offer a truly unique sense of value. Not only in terms of materials and aesthetics, but above all in terms of sound. They work with practically anything, remaining pleasant, musical, and colorful in all circumstances, completely non-confrontational and intimately communicative. They are not perfectly analytical or intensely monitor-like, but the ease with which they convey the true essence of music, allowing you to spend a few hours with a smile on your face, is truly unique for 25,000 CZK. Let's be proud that something like this is being created in the Czech Republic! At least we are proud of it, and one pair is now a permanent part of our available test setup."
