After three years of existence, our unique Quarta has undergone a slight upgrade to the Evoluzione version. In the spirit of classic models with this name, we have slightly improved the frequency response and overall sound quality, especially by adjusting the parameters and components of the frequency crossover, but also a more sophisticated system of internal damping, which makes the music blooms even easier and more natural than before. However, we have not forgotten the beauty for the eye, which is why all Evoluzione models are delivered at no extra charge in a deep glossy lacquer.
Quarta (“the fourth note”) is the top model of our Classic Series, it´s standmounter with reasonable footprint, but with uncompromise sound quality, that has no competition in this price tag.
Under luxurious finishes with extraordinary veneers (silver ebony, zebrano, rosewood) and black or white high gloss there are many extreme technical solutions with top class components, extremely rigid enclosures and extreme crossovers.
We recommend using dedicated 30 cm Quarta stand (depicted stand sold separately for 990 EUR / pair) to achieve optimal listening height. In specific condition we can alter the height to any custom height needed.
EXCEPTIONAL SOLUTIONS:
- sealed “infinite baffle” design

Jason Kennedy, hi-fi+ – :
„Xavian’s Quarta Evoluzione is something of a rebel speaker in the market today. Its squat, wide shape and infinite baffle loading are rarities in a world of tall slim reflex-loaded designs, yet Barletta and his team have proved that a wellexecuted design does not need to conform to the latest trends. The Quarta may look old fashioned to some eyes, but when it comes to ears, its sonic abilities are very much of the moment.“

Daniel Březina, Hi-Fi Voice.com – :
“As it seems, the answer to the opening question of this text is “yes” – without changing the spirit of its very nice big Quarta monitors, Xavian has managed to move them from the category of class excellence to the category of real class top and beyond in the Evoluzione version, thanks to a redesign of the frequency switch and a slight modification of the internal damping, seemingly small but huge in real impact. Transparency, refined analytics, dynamics, solid bass volume (albeit proportional to a closed-box of large but not gigantic proportions), faithful tonality, and a touch of that company’s kindly musicality are all mixed here into a delicious cocktail that can be consumed for long, long hours. And although the new evolutionary version is more expensive, for the price of the original one’s deep lacquer instead of the basic matte version you get noticeably better frequency response, better clarity, clarity, dynamics and other “objective” qualities, but most importantly you get the ability to listen to your favorite music better, more in depth and longer. And that’s definitely worth it. Long live evolution!”

LOUDSPEAKERS OF THE YEAR 2021 in category 10-20 000 GBP by british hi-fi+
“Xavian’s Quarta Evoluzione is a substantial (40kg) 90-litre stand-mount loudspeaker with no ports to grab and a luxurious finish that you don’t want to mark. The drivers in Xavian speakers carry their founder’s brand AudioBarletta; they consist of a 270mm bass driver and a 175mm midrange driver with a hand impregnated ‘non-pressed’ paper cone in a diecast chassis. At the top of the box is a 29mm soft dome tweeter controlled by a copper-clad aluminium voice coil. The crossover uses Mundorf resistors and Jantzen capacitors to give this new Evoluzione version of the Quarta a frequency response of 35Hz to 35kHz. The Quarta has bi-wire terminals on the back of its sealed enclosure and those disinclined to look at the drivers in the front baffle can use the magnetic grilles supplied, even if the quality of veneer and finish warrants as much exposure as it can get. The stand for the Quarta is made of MDF with a matte black finish and discreet branding. It stands 372mm high and has adjustable felt-covered feet for hard floors. In our test, Jason Kennedy thought that, “The midrange is particularly clear, and it allows you to hear right into each recording and pick out what’s going on, what each musician is contributing and, critically, how well they are gelling with other members of the ensemble or band.” Jason was also impressed by its bass response, saying, “the Xavians are happy to produce the stuff in delicious style.” Finally, he felt that “Xavian’s Quarta Evoluzione is something of a rebel speaker in the market today. Its squat, wide shape and infinite baffle loading are rarities in a world of tall slim reflex-loaded designs, yet Barletta and his team have proved that a well-executed design does not need to conform to the latest trends. The Quarta may look old fashioned to some eyes, but when it comes to ears, its sonic abilities are very much of the moment.”
